What it costs
Reading a song that is already in the Library costs nothing, and always will. Weighing a new song does: each fresh reading is a cent or two of AI time, and the site has a server, a domain and backups to keep running. There are no ads.
Who pays for it
Right now, the person who built it, out of pocket. The daily limit on fresh readings exists to keep that bill bounded. Gifts go to those costs first: the AI readings, then the hosting.
What a gift is, and is not
It is a gift, not a purchase: it unlocks nothing, and the site works the same for everyone whether they give or not. WWJLT is not a registered charity, so a gift is not tax-deductible. If you would rather not give, please don’t; using the site and telling us when a reading seems off is help too.
