This beloved Lion King song carries genuine warmth: Timon and Pumbaa welcome a burdened young Simba with humor and acceptance, and that instinct toward belonging is lovely. But the philosophy at its core, that the answer to shame and pain is simply to set aside all worry and stop caring, is more escapism than healing. The song does not reach toward truth or restoration; it offers a pleasant detour around them. For a children's song, that is relatively harmless context, but it is worth naming.
